‘Blubber’ was a week long artists’ residency, exploring ideas arising from the phenomenon ‘Whale Fall’, and how we may find potential in decay. Culminating in an exhibition of outcomes, Blubber was a collaboration between Karolina, Andia, and Andy who are all from Lincoln and have been working together on artistic projects since 2018.

During the residency, I used some of the time to learn how to use Logic to create sound compositions from my field recordings. The video accompaniment highlights some of the research we gathered and felt was most relevant to our thinking about optimism in the face of tragedy.
